You see, for the past 2 years I have had a wonderful distraction in my life of having my son's family and my 2 grandchildren live with us. When that happens, you can't eat a bowl of cereal at 8:00pm and call it dinner. It's hard to stay upstairs working when you hear their little voices downstairs knowing times like this won't last forever. Knowing that, I spent more time with them than I did making sure all of my work was done. Thankfully there are no regrets! They moved out the end of October, and although I miss them terribly, I am getting back to a work routine and I'm excited for what 2024 will bring.
I am also blessed with 4 other beautiful grandchildren! My goodness, a few years ago I was hoping I would have at least 1 grandchild and now there are 6! They weren't kidding when they said "Ask and you shall receive"! These kiddos fill my heart with so much love and joy and I am so thankful for all they bring to mine and Danny's life.
Speaking of Danny, he retired this past August. How did we ever get to this stage of life so quickly?! We are both still in awe of this life changing event. If you know Danny, he's not one to sit still so every morning he gets up early and works the day away but it's on what he wants to do and when he wants to do it! I already knew how great it was to be your own boss and now he does too! Up to this point we haven't really gone anywhere to "act retired" but hopefully that will change soon. In fact, I think we talked about going out for breakfast to a new restaurant tomorrow. LOL Baby steps you know but hopefully that will grow into going out West this fall! I love having him home and the only conflict we've had so far is that he drinks most of the coffee before I can get my 2nd cup! Well, if that's the biggest problem I have, I'll take it!
In true Stampin' Up! style, with a New Year comes a New Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration! You can see both catalogs in the side margin of my blog. How they produce such beautiful bundles, designer papers and embellishments year after year always amazes me! I will be sharing these new products on my Creating with Colleen Magness YouTube Channel so please visit my site and subscribe so you don't miss a thing! I also include videos and lots of stampin' information in my email newsletter. It's all stamping, all positive, all the time so I hope you will also "Request my Newsletter" right here on my blog.
So coming out of 2023, I would like to thank each you for your wonderful stamping support. You make my business possible and I am forever grateful for each and everyone of you! Going into 2024, I am excited to share my love of stamping with you and to keep inspiring you to do something creative each and every day! May God bless you and your family in this new year in ways that only He can! Happy Stamping and my best to you always, Colleen
The New 2023 - 2024 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is here and it's filled with lots of amazing products! The Fresh As A Daisy Suite can be found on page 110 and is one of my favorites! Stampin' Up! makes creating so easy when the designer paper, embellishments, dies and stamp sets all coordinate together. Every sheet in the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper is beautiful but one in particular stands out as it has panels that can be cut to create individual cards. I created a series of videos showing how to create 7 unique cards, 5 of them are special folds - my favorite type of card!
In the first video, I create the cards sharing all the measurements and showing how they go together.
In the second video, I add stamps, inks and embellishments so you can see how 6 of the cards were finished. Each one holds a special place in my heart!
Due to technical difficulties, Ugh, I had to create a third video so you could see the 7th card finished. It was my favorite card since it is a Seam Binding Card that doubles as a gift card holder.
With my videos and the Fresh As A Daisy Suite Collection you too will be creating many beautiful cards. Want to purchase your own Fresh as A Daisy Suite Collection? Simply Click the Shop Now button to be taken to my online store. You can see all of the new, wonderful products by Stampin' Up! when you click the catalog on the right.

I love it when two great Stampin' up! products come together! I paired theDainty Delight Bundle from page 55 of the January - April Mini Catalog along with the Online Exclusive Elegant Borders Dies to create this beautiful card.
The online Exclusive products are not featured in any catalog and can only be seen online. You can see all of the Online Exclusive products by clicking Here!
I fell in love with theElegant Borders Dies as soon as I saw them. What a great way to dress up any project!
On my card I used Petal Pink, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Three amazing colors that go together perfectly. With the New 2023 - 2024 Annual catalog, Stampin' Up! will have a color renovation where current colors will be leaving us and some old favorites will return. I won't know what these colors are until the end of the month so please stock up on your favorite cardstocks, inks and ink refills now! Once they're gone, they are . . . well, Gone! So don't miss out!

To me, Easter is celebrating our Risen Lord as He really is the Reason for the Season! The Rejoice In Him Stamp Seton page 54 of the January - April Mini Catalog, is a great set for making Easter cards. I paired it with the Fancy Flora 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper as the colors are perfect for the spring season. When I created the picture of Jesus I wanted a softer look so I actually stamped Him on Cardstock Vellum with Stazon Inkand colored Him from behind with my Stampin' Blends. In the video, I compare the Cardstock Vellum with coloring on Basic White Cardstock so you can see the difference.
Although I give you all the dimensions in my video, below is a quick reference of the dimensions and cardstock colors for you to see.
In my video, I not only show you how I created this card but I give you tips on how to get the most of your 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. Those drafting skills I possessed from days long ago do come in handy when getting the most bang for your buck!
I come to you live every Wednesday at Noon ET on my Creating With Colleen Magness YouTube Channel. I hope you will join me as I always love to have company in the stamp room! I wish you the best and may all your days be filled with blessings from above! Happy Stamping, Colleen
